Theatrical Consultancy

  • Book or Scriptwriting
  • Brainstorm and strategize the plan, process, and what is needed based on where in the process you are and where you would like to go.
  • Walk through any of the processes from round table reads through to west end or touring productions.
  • Provide introductions to agents, lawyers, accountants, publishers, creative directors, producers, and/or managers as needed.
  • Set up meetings with songwriters, lyricists, or other relevant parties.
  • Research, organize, and/or book venues, create workshop budgets
  • In the UK – update on equity, MU, and BECTU requirements 
  • Organize opening night parties and identify producers to invite to workshops

Neighbouring Rights Services

Please note – I can represent at societies (such as Sound Exchange, PPL, Abramus, RACS, etc), or I can liaise with your representative on your behalf doing all of the below.

  • Ensure that data is up to date with societies.

  • Make claims

  • Settle disputes

  • Liaise with Rights Holders if high-earning tracks are missing.

  • Analyze statements to ensure as much accuracy as possible.

  • Analyze discography to make sure it is up-to date.

  • Liaise with the representative to get any registration paperwork sorted.

  • Download statements and make sure accounting from the representative is accurate.

  • Identify any issues with society collections

  • Examine any discrepancies in earnings.

  • Communicate any new recordings, samples, re mixes, and any other tracks that need to be claimed/updated.

  • Work with Estates to overcome equitable remuneration hurdles

  • Work with potential income stream buyers to ensure death documents and other necessary ER documents are accounted for

  • Assist with smooth transition from artist to new payee in income stream purchase situations

Additional Master Rights Service are available but need to be discussed and agreed.

Full Service Publishing/Master Support

  • Be the point person for synch requests to ensure fair rates are being approved.
  • Communicate with the publishing synch team to assist in the pitching process.
  • Work with music supervisors to help put songs on their radar.
  • Communicate with publishing A&R to get writing sessions in place.
  • Communicate with the publishing sampling team to confirm splits for any sample usage.
  • Liaise with clearance agents for requests to use samples.
  • Advise on what writers might be more willing to allow sample usage.
  • Additional reporting- download publishing statements and if accounting to additional writers, split those statements and send them to those writers.
  • Work with clients when they are exploring additional or new projects to best strategize what is income generating and what might be a black hole.
  • Assist with potential catalogue sales
  • Identify, liaise with, and assist with dealings between writers/artists and potential buyers for catalogue

Basic Publishing or Master Admin Services

  • Liaise with Music Publishers to field and monitor all admin queries, and disputes, and ensure all splits and rates are properly registered/paid out.
  • Compare writer-share statements from ASCAP/BMI/SEASAC/ MR/PRS etc, with publisher-share statements to identify missing income and query any discrepancies.
  • Submit new tracks with song splits to be registered and monitor when those are being paid out.
  • Examine any discrepancies in earnings.
  • Discuss and advise on marketing strategies – provide introductions with possible partners such as influencer agents as needed.
